Some Thoughts

I had a thought today that I wanted to share with you. I went to war today. Now some of you may ask how that happened.

I will tell you, if you listen.

In fact, this war was something I have participated in many times before. and today, I face it again.

What is this war called? Life. It is called life.

Life. Life is simple but at the same time the most complex thing in the world.

How did I go to war today you may ask. Well, when I woke up, I made a decision. I decided I wasn't going to keep living this way. I'm tired of living a destructive life. When I tear people down, I get so angry at myself. It is the time to change.

In many ways, we find great pleasure in living in our sin. I know I do. Have you ever found that you hate your sin as much as you love it though? Personally, it depends on the lie that I am being told  that helps persuades me to whether or not I want to believe the lie. Some lies tempt us to do things that sound good to us, while other lies, bring us into deeper despair. Its ok. I understand. Life is confusing.  Often, I find myself trying to unpack my entire life all in just one sitting. Why do we do this? We do this because often, we try to justify our sins or we are to weak to fight against the lies and we would rather sit and sulk in what we are being told. In reality, we don't know why we do the things that we do, but in the end, there is something we need to realize. The reason you search is not because you are bored. The reason you feel empty is not because you are purposeless. You ask these questions because you do have a purpose. We ask who we are because that is a question God needs us to ask ourselves. We ask what is our purpose because we are all born with a purpose.

I need to tell you something. Your life, yes, your life has a God given purpose. Do you know who you are? You are an intricately woven beautiful design of God and you are not without a purpose. God created and built you to live on earth . . . and you have meaning.

Spiritual Battle

Because I'm graduating, there are a lot of things I'm finding that I'm going to have to give up in life because I'm moving forward.

We have to leave the past behind us. We have to press on as warriors into the unknown life ahead. at times in life. We must leave beloved relationships and people behind. At times, we even have to leave material objects but we don't have to be afraid because we know God is walking with us into this new section of life. God knows the right way.

Many times, as we grow up, we must stand up silently in our minds in a crowd and we will make choices that the world will hate. This is not where we belong and planet earth is not our home. We must learn to move on, and lay things down in this life and sacrifice things for one another. This world is fading quickly and it is temporary and it is not our home.

The Lord can hold everything we care about. We can let it go and put it in His hands. He loves the things that we love even more than we do.

Step out and don't be afraid because God will not fail you.

Lay down your life at his feet.

We can only defend our faith while we are still living on the earth.

That means we act now. Grab on to the Lord and we will walk into the storm together.

Peter could never walk on the water if he was never on the ocean.

We don't understand victory if we don't understand failure.

Grab onto Him. He won't fail you!

Hold up the light of Christ and let the world see Him burn and shine with His glory.

Hold it up and run with joy because He' not going to fail you!

Jesus raided our tomb, the tomb in which we were laying dead.

We have to raid other peoples tomb with the light of Christ because so many people still lay dead in their tomb.

Submit to God and run with Him!

He won't fail.

Graduation

Hey everyone! So yes, if it is in Gods will, I will be graduating in May! This is an extremely exciting time . . .but I won't lie . . . its a sad one too . .  I mean with Christ's power, I'm ready for life's adventures but I will miss the battle ground I am presently on, a lot . . .

The school I am currently attending, I have been a student in for four years. I love it . . . It is my God given ministry and battle ground.

If the Lord calls me to a different place to be in for college, I know so far, this school has been one of my favorite places that the Lord called me to serve in!

He gave me companions that I shall never forget. They have made an incredible impact in my life and they have simply given me another reason to fight for the kingdom of Heaven. I can't even describe how thankful I am to the Lord for my family that He has put me in and the ministries and friends He has blessed me with.

Truly, my friends are my family in Christ. The hardest part about college is that the Lord may choose to close this chapter of my life with these people. On the contrary, He may choose not to.

What I have come to realize is this, I love what I am a part of now but I only have one life here and I must go where God sends me . . .But that makes me so excited because I know first, that I will always have the strength through Him. Second, all these people that I love, I'm about to spend eternity with them  . . . so I don't want to get too board of them yet! Hahaha! Finally, I'll be alright because where ever God puts me is the best place for me.

I will miss my high school years so much. . . but its ok because God will give me the strength to follow Him and I pray I will remain right next to Him until the end of time.

Thank you God for my family and friends and the indescribable  blessing and gift they are . . .And to God who looks out for me, loves me, and whose got this!

I think this quote is SO true when it comes to the eternal prospective! The beauty of the friendships that Christ provides for us are SO amazing that lets just wait for eternity because there, the relationships will be perfect and we will be with Christ!

I actually forget this all the time but love is selfless so just a reminder that when you say you love a person, love them selflessly, cause that is want love is!

Love, Ash! HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!

Thanks! God loves you!:)

The Mysteries of Mermaids

Most young ladies have a favorite Disney princess, and if you haven't figured it out yet ha-ha! Mine, is Ariel. The Little Mermaid. Now there are many reasons for this, but as I've grown older, there are more and more reasons that begin to surface.

I have come to find that Christians, are much like Mermaids . . .
First because, well, we are different from the world. We are very different. We can't be explained and we are either questioned or amazed at by most who come in contact with us..  ( by the way, mermaids don't exist . I'm just using them as an illustration)

Mermaids, most of the time, remain hidden. Christians are similar to mermaids in this way because, we don't desire to throw our beliefs at the world and shove Jesus in the worlds face, but rather remain mysterious and let the world question who and what we are. As Christians, we are called to mind to our own work while loving people endlessly. We most definitely make Christ's existence known but we reveal him in a soft way rather than being aggressive.

Through Christ, we are peaceful, yet powerful. Mermaids are peaceful, yet below the sea, help govern and rule kingdoms. They are princes and princesses who aren't afraid to be noticed.

Mermaids are beautiful and they now it but they use it to draw people to them so that a person may learn more about the kingdom that the mermaid comes from. They use their appearance not to harm but to reflect what their kingdom looks like. Christians, in the same way, reflect Christ and Heaven in the way that the person lives their life.

I would warn you not to harm a mermaid princess. If you do, her Father would question you , whoever you are. You better not upset the King. For though the mermaid is beautiful, she is protected and powerful against you because a mermaid knows who her Father is, and she wont let you forget it. Don't touch her without permission. The same is true for Christian girls or any of Gods children. We have a protector so don't come near us. If you do you will never forget our king.

Mermaids are powerful and we aren't afraid to admit it. Christians will walk in the strength of God and will destroy darkness through their Fathers power. We stay well hidden but at the same time, completely out in the open. We are prepared to defend ourselves through our Fathers strength but we also will always have an answer for every question we are asked.

There have always been people out to catch and destroy us mermaids, but they will not succeed. They don't succeed cause fishermen forget, that even if we get caught in a net, or tossed on board a boat, our Father owns the sea . . . so good luck getting back to shore with us.

Even today, Christians are being persecuted, but we will be fine if Christ is living in us because we are strong, powerful and mighty! Full of mystery and peace, care and have the ability to attract people for good. To draw others closer to the Kingdom, Our Kingdom . . .underwater and in Heaven.

We are all powerful through him who loves us! Go mermaids!

Love,

It Has Been To Long

Hey uhhhh! Its been so long!! Oh my goodness! It's senior year ( which is wonderful) and there is lots of school! Ok so yes I have a YouTube site and I love it! I'm currently checking out colleges and trying to remind myself each day that Gods got it all and I don't have to worry about anything!

Ok so lets see . . .My encouragement and push for you today  . . . First, anxiety does not have to control you! God holds our hearts and its ok! You were never created to live in fear! The Lords wings are enough to cover us! Always!

Second, we have to man up! We have to grasp who our father is! We are sent here with the power to move the heart of God! And that is only by his grace and love! He will change to course of time by our request if it is in his devine will! He controls all, we just need to ask and have faith that he can do it and leave to results up to his perfect will!

Do you have a broken heart today? Guess what? People aren't meant to be what determines our value! Cause we are all fallen creatures in a sinful world! Of course we are completely new in Christ but we still can sin so ,therefore, still exist in a fallen place!  Its ok! You have been made new through Jesus! He died for you! We have to man up! Know who our Father is and that he hears us!

Love you all! Have a wonderful love filled week!

Love , Ash!
